Second Harvest Japan (2HJ) held the national food bank symposium in Tokyo on March 15, 2012. Second Harvest Asia (2HA) Executive Director Yusuke Wada attended the symposium and spoke about the history of Second Harvest Japan. The symposium was funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Forestry (MAFF) of Japan. Representatives from food banks in the country, food companies, partner groups who worked in the tsunami-disaster area spoke at the event. With more than 150 attendees, it was a very successful event!
