In 2011, Second Harvest Asia (2HA) and Second Harvest Japan(2HJ) shipped containers of peach cans and soy meals to the Philippines. The Philippine Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) received the food donations and has been distributing them through local NGOs. CaritasManila, one of the recipient agencies, reported to 2HA about their use of the donations.
